Family Day

Looking for a fun place to bring the entire family? Families receive free admission to the museum which includes the fascinating second floor exhibit galleries and our hands-on history room. Designed especially for families, the Anne Kilcawley Christman Hands-On History Room allows children and adults to explore a life-sized replica of a pioneer log cabin, play historical games, read books and make crafts.

 Second Saturday of every month, year round, 1:00-5:00 p.m.

History Hounds Kids Club

History is fun! Our kids club meets every other month to enjoy hands-on activities, stories and scavenger hunts with a local history theme. Children ages 6-12 are welcome; registration is required. 

One Saturday, every other month, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Cost: free!

History Hounds Summer Camp

Held annually the last week in June, this day camp makes history come alive by providing children ages 8-12 with an opportunity to experience history through unique, hands-on activities and challenging projects.

 Monday-Thursday, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Registration fee: $20 (includes camp t-shirt)

Homeschool Workshops

Explore the Arms Family Museum of Local History through workshops designed specifically for homeschool students. Participants enjoy a guided tour, a museum scavenger hunt, hands-on activities in the Hands-On History Room, and a certificate of attendance. Pre-registration is required; call the museum to register. 

Third Thursday of every month, September – May, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Cost: $1 per student, per workshop; parents/chaperones are free.
