1) School Newspaper

Think about writing a class or school newspaper.  What should be included?  Where would you go or who would you ask for information?

2) 5 W's

Learn about the 5 W’s: who, what, when, where, why (and sometimes ‘how’).  Why are these important when writing a news story?

3) Newspaper Front Pages

Compare the front pages from several newspapers on the same day.  How are they the same?  Are stories about the same thing given equal space or prominence?  If there are differences, why do you think that happens?
