Our days at Idora Park were full of fun: watching the monkeys, riding a pony, trying to get through the revolving barrel in the funhouse, or winning a prize on the midway.  Idora was where we shared a picnic lunch with family or friends in one of the park’s shaded groves; where we felt the rush of the Wildcat’s first drop and its bone-jarring turns or the graceful revolutions of the Rocket Ships; where we watched fireworks explode in the night sky.  These experiences will live forever, if only in our minds – where the last ride of summer never ends.
